Birds of Childhood is an acrylic painting series based on birds that visited the bird feeder at my grandparents' place. When they were taking care of us in the autumn/wintertime, the morning routine for us was that my grandpa went out to fill the feeder in the morningtime and I was watching the birds arrive while having my breakfast.
It is a nice memory.
Sparrows were the ones who gathered under the feeder and waited for stuff to fall for them. The titmouses were who could fit into the feeder were feasting inside, also making sure to throw seeds for the others out there too. I was always wondering how titmouses and sparrows are the same size, yet they always shared who goes into the feeder.
